Our challenge for the windows of the European boutiques Fendi: to magnify the magic of the works of the Swiss artist Sophie Teauber-Arp, by transforming them into lit sculptures with bright colors.
The first step of our cooperation with Fendi Fashion House involves the study of the works by Sophie Teauber-Arp, a Swiss Dadaist painter and designer, who has created art in the 20s and 30s. The artist has inspired the Fendi Fall / Winter 2015-2016 collection and the style of the windows of the boutiques Fendi.
Starting from her drawings, we have created 3D lit works for four types of windows: a small and medium-scale production, for Europe.
The windows display the dialogue of colors and shapes between the outfits of the Fendi collection and the lit art works.
During the cooperation with the customer, we hosted study-meetings in our company with our designers working on 3D design software.
After the definition of the volumes and the creation of the mockups, we have selected the suitable colors and varnishing techniques, focusing on the engineering of the painting processes, usually managed manually.
The production of the prototypes with approved finishing has followed a detailed study of lighting technologies to enhance the colors.
Finally, we carried out the necessary tests for assembly and installation.
The result: the art of Sophie Teauber-Arp was admired in the windows Fendi in Europe, Beverly Hills and Miami.
