Summary

This work is part of a series of sculptures composing an installation with the overall name ‘Riunione di famiglia’ (‘Family Reunion’).

The project is configured as an environmental installation that reproduces a family tree composed of three imperishable parts:  the Ancestors, the Living, and the Descendants. The works interact, evoking the presence of a nuclear family perceived in a nonlinear dimension of time:  an encounter with other entities in a space in which the past, present, and future exist simultaneously.

Technical Specifications:

Structure in laser-cut brass, curved manually.  Surface decorated with a paste of glue and sand.  The LED lighting system integrated into the structure functions by means of track lighting. Arduino electronic controller for correcting the light. Backdrop in refractive nylon.

Dimensions:  100 X 30 X h 130 cm
